Abyei community in Western Bahr el Ghazal State condemned what they termed as a ‘Barbaric attack by the Missiriya militias’ on people of Abyei Administrative Area.
Voice of Hope Radio quoted Chairperson of Abyei community in Wau, Alor Deng Kur saying Mabok area sustained another attack on Monday morning which claimed innocent lives and people’s property.
The leader revealed that the attack allegedly by the Missiriya militias was in order for the citizens of Abyei to leave their areas for them to have full control over the town.
Alor advised the citizens that the government of South Sudan is going to look into the issue and resolve it.
The official made the remarks to Voice of Hope Radio on Tuesday in Wau.
