Oryem Andrea lost his life when he went to the bush to collect charcoal on Saturday afternoon, Radio Emmanuel reported.
Emmanuel Herald Mwangi, a victim of the raid, said that before the incident, 20 charcoal men were arrested and taken to Kilieu village while some women were released after being beaten.
Mr. Herald added that the villagers claimed to have got permission from the concerned authorities which could not be traced.
Twenty men were released after paying a fine of 150 Sudanese pounds.
Police are still investigating the case.
The incident has created great fear to people whose livelihood depends exclusively on charcoal production.
