A ten-day program called Salesians’ Week concluded today in Tonj with a concert by local artists attended by over 150 youths celebrating the feast of St. John Bosco.
Fr. Cyril Odia, youth director at Tonj’s Sacred Heart Parish, told Don Bosco FM that the week programme included HIV Aids awareness, door to door evangelism, sports activities and intensive prayers in the church.He appreciated the youth participation through out the week.
Fr. Cyril said that local artists took part in the programme by turning up in big numbers.
He explained that they recorded their songs at Don Bosco FM and invited relatives to come and see their children acting in a public concert this evening.
Fr. Cyril noted that he is looking forward to involving youth from villages in the programmes organized by the parish.
