Rumbek police confirms reuniting seven young men who were abducted by unknown gun men in Malith Village of Rumbek East County with their families.

The spokesperson captain Elijah Mabor Makuac says earlier they had the report of only two people but an investigation reveals that five others were also missing bringing the total to seven people, Good News radio reports.

Captain Makuac appeals to young people to refrain from such practices because it is a crime punishable by the laws of the country.

The spokesperson reiterates that investigations are still ongoing to find the kidnapers and their reasons for abducting people.

Efforts by Good News radio to reach out to the abductees for comments were unsuccessful.

Captain Mabor was speaking to Good News Radio on Wednesday in Rumbek.
