Unknown gunman shot dead a 70-year-old man in his house on Wednesday in Rumbek town according to the police.
Captain Elijah Mabor Makuac told Good News Radio that two incidences occurred on Wednesday in which a person was shot and died in the hospital and another old man was shot in his house and died on spot.
Captain Mabor appealed to the public to stop revenge killing and live as one community, as retaliation has killed many people.
He called on community leaders to preach the spirit of forgiveness to the young people and avoid inciting conflict.
The officer also pleaded to the national government to send enough forces to disarm civilians to stop revenge attacks for people to stick to the rule of law in the state.
The police reported many death cases as a result of revenge.
