The state administrator of Yei river county Amule Felix Sosten confirms the formation of Covid-19 preparedness task force.

According to radio Easter, he says the team consists of health personnel and military forces to carry out the awareness program in the county.

Felix cites the challenge of people entering Yei from neighboring countries with confirmed cases despite the national order banning entry and exit of people.

The state administrator encourages citizens to stop traveling at this time because people may contract the virus in the process.

The administrator mentions that isolation centers have been set up in case of any possible case.

He adds people who arrived from neighboring countries are being quarantine and monitored for 14 days.

Felix stresses the isolation center will not only be in Yei town but be extended to other counties due to illegal entry of people in the country.

Amule reiterates that all executive directors are informed to be vigilant in monitoring the isolation centers.

He cautions security organs to remain alert and close the borders to stop any illegal entry to Yei town.

The state administrator spoke to Radio Easter on Wednesday at his office in Yei.
