The high level taskforce committee approves three million dollars to support South Sudanese students in Ethiopia during this critical time of COVID-19 pandemic.
The minister for higher Education, Science and Technology Denay Jock Chagor reveals the ministry is yet to receive the approved amount by the committee.
He adds the money will be given to students on government scholarship in Ethiopia.
Minister Chagor says the support came as a result of the request by the government to retain the students in Ethiopia until the spread of the virus is contained.
The minister stresses that all the students in Ethiopia are safe and non contracted COVID 19.
There are over 7,000 students on government scholarship in different countries around the world.
Minister Chagor calls on the general public to pray so that the virus does not enter the country.
The minister of higher Education, Science and Technology was speaking during a press conference this morning in Juba.
