Islamic Council declares commitment to prevent corona pandemic

Islamic Council chairperson in Wau, Western Bahr el Ghazal State Sheik Ali Hassan has declared their commitment to the presidential decree suspending religious events to prevent the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
 
He said the Council has informed all mosques to suspend all prayers as preventive measures, Voice of Hope Radio reported.
 
Ali mentioned that currently the mosques will be informing the faithful about prayers’ time so that they should pray at their places.
 
Sheikh Hassan called on the faithful to obey the decree as precautions from the pandemic virus that is transmitted through physical contacts, handshake among others.
 
He urged people to put into practice the awareness given by the Ministry of Health and World Health Organization to prevent the virus.
 
Sheik Hassan made the remarks to Voice of Hope Radio on Thursday in Wau.
