No COVID-19 case in Yei River, confirms Health director

Director General in the Ministry of Health in the Defunct Yei River State James Wani dismissed rumours of corona virus case.
 
He said his office received a phone call from the immigration office in Kaya about a lady who have been detained on suspicion of being sick, Radio Easter reported.
 
Wani explained that a health team was then sent to bring the suspected lady for more monitoring in order to prove the case.
 
The director explained that the South Sudanese woman who holds British passport travelled to Kampala, Uganda to see her children but was instructed to isolate herself for 14 days after coming from corona positive country.
 
Wani urged people should be vigilant and follow the precautionary measures given by the health authorities.
 
He advised citizens to pray at home as per the order passed by the presidency avoiding crowding as a measure to contain covid-19 virus.
 
The medical personnel urged the citizens to avoid believing in rumours but rely on information given by the Ministry of Health and World Health Organisation in order not to create panic.
 
He advised the population to take and treat the matter seriously because corona virus is very deadly and can kill a big number.
 
Dr. Wani appealed to the civil population to contact and inform the defunct ministry of health in Yei any suspected person presenting signs and symptoms of corona virus.
 
The speaker made the remarks on Thursday to Radio Easter in Yei.
