South Sudan government received covid-19 medical kits donation from Jack Ma as preventive measures to the recent global outbreak of the virus.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Deng Dau Deng says the easiest preventive measure of the virus is frequent hand washing with soap and water.
He encourages those who flew in from corona virus affected countries to declare themselves, for their safety and those around them.
China Ambassador to South Sudan, Hua Ning says that South Sudan is one of the priority countries to receive the medical kits.
The Chinese government have donated USD 100,000 to WHO South Sudan office to mobilise all the necessary resources to support efforts by South Sudanese government and its people.
Ethiopian Airlines Country Director to South Sudan, Bekalu Kassa, told CRN that as pan Africanist the airline will continue it’s commitment in this difficult time to help other Africans countries to fight Covid-19.
Fifty four African countries will receive same quota of 20,000 test kits, 100,000 masks and 1,000 protective suits for each.
Ma pledged a total of 1.1 million coronavirus test kits, 6 million masks and 60,000 medical protective suits and face shields to the African continent.
South Sudan is among other countries till today are Covid-19 free, yet the virus is infecting and killing big population globally.
