Schools in Lakes State close down due to fear of coronavirus spread

Authorities in the defunct Western Lakes State start implementing presidential order banning all social gathering in the country as a measure of preparedness to prevent coronavirus.
 
Director General in the state ministry of Education Alfred Agolder Mathok announces the closure of schools and advise students and pupils to go home and avoid random movement, Good News Radio reports.
 
Bishop Mazzolari Memorial secondary school head teacher Daniel Reec Makom encourages personal hygiene while the school children are at home.
 
He reminds students to continue revising their notes and avoid loitering in markets.
 
Makom says the school will carry out assessment tests when they re-open.
 
The officials made the remarks to Good News Radio in Rumbek.
