Authorities in the defunct Western Lakes State on Monday closed down schools, implementing presidential order in the preparedness to prevent coronavirus.
Director-General in the State Ministry of Education Alfred Agolder Mathok advised learners to go home and avoid random movement, Good News Radio reported.
Bishop Mazzolari Memorial Secondary School head teacher Daniel Reec Makom urged students to quarantine themselves in their houses with their parents.
He reminded the students to revise their notes while at home and avoid loitering in the town.
Reec said school will carry out continues assessment tests to learners when school re-opens.
The officials made the remarks to Good News Radio on Monday in Rumbek.
