Emeritus Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro on Sunday officially handed over the Archdiocese of Juba to his successor Archbishop Stephen Ameyu martin after his installation at St Theresa’s Cathedral Kator among jubilant crowds.
Archbishop Lukudu warmly welcomed Archbishop Ameyu, expressing that he is free at last after 45 years serving as Apostolic Administer of El Obeid Diocese and Metropolitan Archbishop of Juba.
The Emeritus Archbishop clarified that the fusion that affected the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba since December was imported from outside the country, not within South Sudan.
He asked all people of Torit, Juba and South Sudan to stop provocations and renew their lives.
The new Archbishop asked the faithful to pray that the devil dividing the people of the Catholic archdiocese of Juba will be defeated.
He said reconciliation is the only means to cast down the devil Catholic Christians of Juba.
Archbishop Ameyu thanked Auxiliary Bishop Santo Loku Pio for efforts he exerted during the celebration of the centenary.
He said the three bishops will reconcile all the faithful of the catholic Archdiocese of Juba.
