UNHAS hands to government new built terminal at Rumbek airport

The management of UN Humanitarian Air Services or UNHAS on Wednesday handed over the newly constructed airport terminal and toilets to the Civil Aviation Office in Rumbek.
 
UNHAS Chief in South Sudan Mario Sebrian appreciated cooperation of the local community with UN field offices in Rumbek, Good News Radio reported.
 
He said UN agencies are ready to support in terms of development not only to the airport, but to other areas.
 
Rumbek airport manager Emmanuel Sabit Makuet thanked UNHASS and other agencies for the support given to them.
 
He appealed to the agencies to implement other projects that the airport administration had proposed to them earlier.
 
Government representative Thon Rengu Majook acknowledged UN Agencies’ contribution to the state in terms of development.
 
He assured them of government’s commitment to safeguard and protect the agencies as they deliver humanitarian services to people in the state.
 
The speakers were talking during the inauguration of new airport terminal in Rumbek on Wednesday.
