Two people killed in humanitarian truck in Maper County

At least two people have been killed in a vehicle carrying food supply of World Food Programme or WFP to Rumbek North on Friday when armed men fired bullets to the lorry at Anyi-jong-Maper road.
 
According to Police Spokesperson Captain Elijah Mabor Makuach, armed youth stopped the car robbed passengers and shot the vehicle randomly, killing a man and breastfeeding mother, Good News Radio reported.
 
Captain Mabor advised the young people to refrain from criminal activities and allow free movement of humanitarian aid workers.
 
He noted that identities of the culprits are still unknown.
 
Captain Mabor recalled that a Boda-boda rider was killed on the same road the same day.
 
The captain spoke to Good News Radio on Saturday in his office.
