Medical Director of Mother of Mercy Hospital of the Diocese of El Obied in the Nuba Mountains Doctor Tom Katina expressed concerns of people’s health living in remote area of Nuba Mountains as Sudan reports coronavirus cases.
Voice of Peace Radio quoted him advising people to take precautions looking at difficult situation the region is going through.
‘The disease is not curable it has no vaccine what you need to do is wash your hands with soap and water regularly, do not touch you face and not sharing of cups or dishes’ he said.
Doctor Katina mentioned that the hospital is sending health education staff out to schools and villages to enlighten population about the deadly coronavirus.
