RCDI graduates 300 vulnerable women in Wau

Rural Community Development Initiative or RCDI with funding from United Nations Development Program or UNDP graduates 300 vulnerable women trainees from five blocks of Wau town.
 
The vulnerable women include widows, divorced women and those with terminal illness.
 
RCDI head of programmes, Richard Mwaka, says the graduates have been trained on sustainable livelihood and entrepreneurship skills.
 
Executive Director for RCDI, Isaac John Thubo, mentions that they are supporting women in order to run their own business to sustain their lives.
 
Meanwhile graduate representative, Nafisa Abdul Majid, appreciates the organization for supporting suffering women, assuring their commitment to use the skills to change their communities.
 
The graduates were categories into four groups including bakery, catering, hair salon and small business.
 
The graduation took place on Thursday at Women Association premises under the theme ‘Empowering women, Develop the nation.’
