South Sudanese men call on the newly appointed transitional female ministers to strong and deliver in order not to disappoint the nation as their male counterparts did.

Speaking to CRN Isaac Kenyi says the appointment is a fulfilment to the implementation of the revitalized peace accord.

He is happy that the 35% has been reflected in the cabinet.

‘Women should assert themselves now! This is the time for women to prove that since men have failed, they are going to prosper’, Kenyi adds.

Jim Long, expresses that a female minister of defence can reduce conflict because women recognize humanity aspects, control situations because they are patient and considerate.

However, he adds men at times are very selfish do not consider the moral aspect of things.

Another South Sudanese David says that the issue of service delivery should be taken seriously by the new women in the revitalised transitional government.

He adds the most important thing in the current appointment is the quality and the bold step taken by the leaders to have a female minister of defence.
