South Sudan Basketball Federation delegates on Sunday arrived in Wau, Western Bahr el Ghazal to conduct a survey and form a basketball association in the state.
The new Federation chair Lual Deng asked the ministry of Information, Culture, Youth and Sports to assist them in forming Wau Basketball Association that would be the caretaker of basketball activities in the state.
The local body will also work for development of the games, ease administration and communication between the state and South Sudan basketball federation.
SSBF Coach Michael Achoul revealed that the aim of the visit was to assess basketball activities in the state and create associations.
He explained that the visit was not enough but due to some financial problem, they will try to cover up the whole state, and report their challenges to Federation.
The South Sudan Basketball Federation representative made the remarks to Voice of Hope Radio on Sunday in Wau.
