Kurumba Secondary School celebrates International Women’s Day

Kurumba Mixed Secondary School in Kauda, Nuba Mountains on Sunday joined the rest of the world to celebrate the International Women’s Day.
 
In an exclusive interview with Voice of Peace Radio, Principal Yunis Kalu, said the day is an important for all mankind.
 
He called on communities to send girls to school so that they can learn their roles and importance of being part of the society.
 
Principal Kalu said the world will be a better place if all women were educated because they are always close to the children and their families.
 
Skills for Nuba Mountains Program Manager, Vera Etole, called for an equal opportunity in decision making in the Nuba society to bring development to the nation and improve the standard of living.
 
She added that a woman is hardworking and that without a her that home is likely to collapse.
