Education partners launch distribution of South Sudan text books in Rumbek

Lakes State Ministry of Education and its partners launched distribution of South Sudan curriculum for both primary and secondary schools in Rumbek.
 
According to Good News Radio, the new curriculum includes Swahili language.
 
State Education Director General, Alfred Agolder warned teachers and pupils against selling of textbooks.
 
Agot Mayom, a female student at Abukloi Secondary School expressed happiness to be taught using textbooks of her own country.
 
Head teacher of Ager-gum Primary School, Samuel Makuac Mayom urged his fellow teachers and students to make good use of the books
 
He earlier thanked education partners and the ministry of Education for supporting learning across the country.
 
South Sudan has been using books from the neighbouring countries of Kenya, Uganda and Sudan since 2011.
