Blue Star of former Tonj qualified to represent Warrap state in South Sudan cup in Juba after a long battle in the state and with other states of Bahr el Ghazal region.
Don Bosco Radio quoted Chairperson of Tonj Local Football Association, Lino Majok Achien encouraging the players to continue with the same spirit of team work in the competition in Juba to bring home the trophy.
He urged all citizens of Tonj in South Sudan to support and stand with Blue Star in order to win the trophy.
Deputy Chairperson of Local Football Association in Tonj, Valentino Machar Ater expressed his happiness and gratitude to the team wishing it victory in advance.
Mario Monydhiath Goor, community representatives, encouraged the players to be confident and practice hard for the coming competition in Juba.
‘The ball is round and no one knows the miracle that happens in the pitch and prove to South Sudanese citizens that you are strong physically, mentally and skilfully”. Monydhiath cheered the players.
Blue Star became the only lion to win the battle in Tonj and the first team to qualify and represent Warrap State in South Sudan cup in the history.
The team is expected to be in Juba within few days for semi-finals of South Sudan cup competition.
