Torit former governor applauds President Kiir’s move to ten states

Torit State former governor Tobiolo Alberio Oromo applauded and is in support of the President Salva Kiir’s bold decision to bring the country to ten states.
 
The president on Saturday declared the return to ten states to ease the implementation of the peace agreement, Radio Emmanuel reported.
 
Alberio told the press on Sunday that President Kiir’s move to return the country to the ten states is a positive move for peace.
 
He called on citizens to accept the decision as it will pave way for return of refugees home.
 
‘This is done to bring peace to the people of South Sudan and we are very happy for his decision. We want our people to live in peace, stability; people in the camps can start returning home. I want to convey to the people of Torit State that the decision is for our own good’, the former governor, said.
 
Alberio appealed to citizens to remain calm and continue with their daily activities.
 
He cautioned the local population against hostility, calling for love and peaceful co-existence among citizens.
 
‘To those who are not happy I advise you not to go hostile, continue to live a peaceful life and love one another. Take up agricultural activities people of Torit and let us appreciate what the president has done. Peace is very important’, he cheered the people.
 
Alberio called for inclusive cabinet in the upcoming formation of transitional government of national unity.
 
All the 32 state governors were relieved from their positions in a decree read on the national television on Sunday.
