The listeners of Don Bosco Radio on Thursday joint the World Radio Day celebration by sharing their views over telephone call, saying radio is the main powerful tool that changes the dignity of people from bad to good.
One of the popular listeners, Deng Angok Angok said whenever he listens to the program over the radio, it alters him to teach others or update them of any information pass over the radio.
He pointed out the weakness of the listener is that most of them listen music and not program that educate the public.
A teacher at Don Bosco Primary School Lino Lual Kon cited that the role of the radio is to update people of what is happening around.
Radio is the candle light to those who always follow it accordingly, he adds.
Santino Makuei Makur, young journalist expressed his attitude on how he was attracted to journalism.
Though journalists are simply killed for no reason, they still hold up their tasks, he noted.
Meanwhile the Director of Don Bosco Radio Fr Joseph Chisomo who joint live discussion narrated the important of the function.
He encouraged media to move forward with their duties of giving the public the accurate information that bring peace among citizens.
