Catholic Bishop of Yei Erkolano Lodu Tombe is appealing to Christians to continue pray for peace implementation to hold ceasefire and go on with negotiations as the time for the formation of the transitional government comes closer.

He commended the hard work of the international community to ensure that stability lasting peace is achieved, Radio Easter reported.

Lodu prayed that nobody spoils the efforts of those working to bring back peace to South Sudan so that the long waited transitional government is formed on time.

He also asked for God’s protection in the process of the formation of the transitional government a few weeks to come.

The catholic prelate hopes that the formation of the government would not be postponed again.

Bishop Lodu tasked the Christians in Yei to pray for peace in the whole country because if one state is not peaceful then the country cannot be in peace.

He urged the government to continue with the spirit of dialogue and negotiations.

Bishop Lodu Tombe was giving his message to the Christians on Sunday at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei.
