Yei River State Transitional Legislative Assembly on Thursday handed the endorsed 2019/2020 budget to the state acting governor, Yusto Baba Dema.
Assembly Clerk Towongo Alex urged the government to respect the fiscal year’s budget passed in order to realize its strength, Radio Easter reported.
He cited that the document endorsed and to the acting governor included Budget, Tax Schedule and Appropriation Act.
The Clerk noted that the budget is made as a tool of service delivery to the state citizens in order to realize development.
Yei State Acting Governor Baba appreciated the committee for handing the documents to his office and that it is time to begin moving forward through organized financial system.
He explained that without any approved budget, the government cannot move any steps forward.
Baba said the document is received and be waiting for the final signature of the governor to make it operational.
He congratulated the parliament and the executive for working on the budget.
