Palotaka farmers discuss sustainability of agricultural project activities

Nearly one hundred farmers gathered at Caritas Luxembourg Office in Palotaka to discuss the sustainability of agricultural project in the area.
 
The workshop also aims at documenting the experience and knowledge gained during the project implementation period.
 
In the discussion, farmers are tasked to identify elements and approaches to be taken in 2021/2025 new project in the area.
 
During the workshop, the farmers will discuss on how to prevent and mitigate mistakes registered during the implementation of the project.
 
The farmers will also debate on climate change concerns, gender, conflict resolution and mitigation integration as a cross cutting issues to the implementation of the project.
 
Project Manager of Foundation Caritas Luxembourg for Food Security in Palotaka, Fr Mawa Joseph Michael applauded farmers and cooperatives for their usual cooperation.
 
He urged the beneficiaries to embrace team work.
 
Head of the Mission of Foundation Caritas Luxembourg Francois Nzabahimana, explained that they started their mission in South Sudan in 2006 with emergency program then extended to Food Security in 2009 in Isoke of Ikwoto County.
 
‘From 2010 to 2014, Foundation Caritas Luxembourg developed another program for nutrition’, he added.
 
Ayachi County women representative, Anyek Rose John, commended Foundation Caritas Luxembourg for its projects in the area.
 
She urged participants to put their ideas together for the sustainability of the project in the county.
