One person has been killed, another sustained gunshot injuries in two separate attacks in Wulu County of Western Lakes State.
The attackers were allegedly youth from Gok State.
Wulu County Commissioner Magok Ajac says the armed youth opened gunfire at SSPDF and wounded a soldier on his way to Bahr Gel County.
The attacked soldier sustained injuries from five bullets, including his arms, thighs and stomach, the Commissioner adds.
But Goke State Information Minister David Meen Manyoun denies that the attackers were from his area, describing the claim as allegations.
Community Ajac urges the two communities to remain united as usual, saying splitting of the state was an administrative decision, but not to divide communities.
The two officials were speaking to Radio Good News on telephone interview on Tuesday in Rumbek.
