Yei River State Assembly on Monday reviewed the government budget for the fiscal year 2019/2020.
Yei Chairperson of Budget Committee Daniel Lokoroto Arama said the acting Minister of Finance and Economic Development presented the budget to the parliament for approval, Radio Easter reported.
He disclosed that the budget was referred to the Specialized Committee of Finance Economic Development and Public Service and Public Accounts for scrutiny.
It is required that the committee renders its report within 21 days of the fiscal year 2019/2020 budget for deliberation by the August House.
MP Lokoroto explained that the budget is eight hundred seventy-two million Pounds, with 64.7 percent from the national government transfers and 35.3 percent state revenues.
