Catholic Bishop of Yei Erkolano Lodu Tombe appealed for unity of and that citizens should be doing good things for peace to prevail in the state and the whole country.
Radio Easter quoted him asking inhabitants to join hands against violence, misbehaviour as the church does not want war.
‘We don’t want war violence and misbehaviour among organized forces and civilians but the church wants peace love doing good and unity of the government and its people and the state and the church’, Bishop Lodu pleaded.
He advised citizens to take seriously the message of St Paul, who told Christians to be one in Christ.
The catholic prelate urged citizens to leave behind their differences because South Sudan is one people and needs only peace.
He advised the citizens to stand together for peace and prohibit violence and misbehaviours including raping of women and girls.
Bishop Lodu urged citizens to reject any thing that is against peace, mentioning that South Sudan is led by evil spirit ruling the people.
He warned that anyone who does what the people don’t want is against the will of citizens, church and the will of God.
The religious leader told citizens to be together for good and reject what is bad in communities.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu was encouraging Christians at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei on Sunday.
