The ministry of Jesus Christ is for repentance and believing in the good news of the kingdom of God, Catholic Bishop of Yei Erkolano Lodu Tombe told believers at Christ the King Cathedral on Sunday.
He explained that the ministry of Jesus of call to repent and believe gives Christians a mission, Radio Easter reported.
The bishop quoted St Paul seeing his mission in relation to the word of God through reconciliation.
The Catholic prelate mentioned that the Christian community of Corinthians was divided with a number of preachers around them.
He cited division among them, but they all preach about Christ with the same doctrine which had no difference.
Bishop Lodu called for unity in the community of God because Christ the Saviour is the same and preachers speak about the message of salvation and the word of God which unites the people.
He advises the faithful never to be divided by personality because some personalities could be holy or sinful citing that what is important is the message.
The religious leader was giving his homily at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei on Sunday.
