The Antenatal Care department or ANC in Rumbek State Hospital is lacking some qualified midwives to assist pregnant mothers during delivery, says UNFPA Midwife.
Peter Dor Meen says the hospital is also facing a shortage of medical supplies.
Meen urges expectant mothers to attend to antenatal care before delivery.
He says the state hospital gives comprehensive health education, counselling and screening of diseases like STDs and other sicknesses related to pregnancy.
Peter Dor was speaking to Radio Good News on Thursday in Rumbek.
