A priest in Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish of the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek Reverend Joseph Chisomo told Christians that there are difficulties facing people.
Don Bosco Radio quoted him saying, the greatest obstacle during Jesus’ ministry was religious leaders or Christians who planned evil to destroy people.
Our cultures are becoming obstacles to young girls, because parents forced many of their girls into early marriage to get cows.
The priest pointed out that missionaries’ responsibility is to encourage parents to protect young girls not to be forced for marriage according to the culture.
Father Joseph Chisomo encouraged religious leaders and parents to talk against force marriage, that can destroy life of young girls and give them chance to go to school for their better future.
The priest was preaching to the faithful during on Wednesday at Sacred Heart Parish in Tonj.
