The United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS organized a two day workshop for the state legislative assembly and civil society organizations in Rumbek.

The forum focuses on sensitizing civil societies and legislators on the implementation of the Peace deal.

Head of UNMISS Field Officer Kwame Dwamena says the workshop is meant to enlighten the participants on the 2018 peace agreement.

He says the deal does not only concentrate on power sharing, but includes development and security.

Kwame urges South Sudanese leaders to educate communities on the revitalized agreement and formation of the pre-transitional government of national unity in the country.

Rumbek Mayor, Peter Maliab Cieny encourages participants to carry messages of the Revitalized peace agreement to the grassroots.

The two days training is expected to end today, Tuesday.
