Torit Director-General of Commerce and Industries Stephen Ihude Oduho on Tuesday met with traders to address market prices and challenges affecting the business community in the state.

He told Radio Emmanuel that the meeting aimed at addressing the differences between traders and consumers.

Ihude admits prices in Torit keep on increasing on daily basis.

‘We have to look at the issues of the price increases and then the community concerns on the daily increases of prices and in our discussions it was very good as far as the representatives of the business communities are concern’, he explained.

Ihude prioritized food items as one of the basic commodities whose price would be normalized.

The traders agreed to reduce food items such as cooking oil, sugar and others to be affordable, he noted.
