Director-General in Wau State Ministry of Health Dr. James Ambrose Ucin confirmed that the sample of three people suspected of Ebola Virus which was sent to Juba were all tested negative.
He says with these test results, the Ministry of health is confirming to all citizens of Wau State that there’s no Ebola in the area.
Dr. Ambrose cautioned that having no Ebola case in Wau at the moment does not mean the disease cannot reach the state or the country.
The Director-General urged the community to take all public health trainings seriously to help prevent everybody from such diseases.
He added that the state has trained rapid response team for Ebola suspects and they are ready at any time to rescue lives.
Last week, State Ministry of Health announced that there were three Ebola suspected cases in Mapel area of Wau.
The Director General made the remarks to Voice of Hope Radio on Monday in Wau.
