National Ministry follows up on harmful drugs prevention

The National Ministry of Health visited Wau to follow up on prevention of all drugs that causes cancer and other cosmetics in all pharmacies.
 
Director-General for Inspection and Drugs Surveillance and Food Control Authority Dr Peter Akot said the purpose was to continue the campaign and follow up of some drugs which are not allowed in pharmacies.
 
He added that he will have meeting with State Ministry of Health to see how things had gone after the last year campaign.
 
State Minister of Health Simon Athuai Akot said the drugs which are forbidden must be respected by pharmacies because the poisonous drugs can affect the people health in South Sudan at large.
 
He added that the poisonous drugs affect all citizens’ lives.
 
Minister Athuai urged the national minister to follow up the drugs always before they enter any states.
 
Pharmacists and citizens welcome the move taken by Ministry of Health in collecting banned drugs and other cosmetics in Wau State.
