A foreign company has resumed demining activities in Tonj South County, Warrap state after a long Christmas break.
Phil Hartley, who works for Armour Group Mine Action, told Don Bosco FM that the company is back to look for new items left from the war, including mines and grenades, to make the area safe for residents. He urged the community to report whatever war-like materials they find to the local authorities, police or payam administration, so that his team can come and make them safe.
Mr. Hartley urged parents to be aware when their children are playing with unknown war-left materials.
