A political analyst said the last six years of South Sudan’s self-governance proves that the new country about to be born is viable and not a failed state.

John Ashwworth told SCR News that for the past six years the Government of South Sudan put in place many of the systems of governance out of nothing.

He added that GoSS is effectively governing South Sudan and providing relative peace and security to most of its people.

Mr. Ashword said to call South Sudan a failed state was an insult to its people.

He explained the South got mostly troubles and confusion from the north and the current stability is the work of South Sudan alone.

Mr. Ashword concluded that the fear that the new country would be a failed state was propaganda from Khartoum and ignorance from the international community.
