The recently released activist Peter Biar says his first priority now is to do a medical examination since his heath has deteriorated while in prison.
He was freed last week together with businessman Kerbino Agok Wol and 28 others in a Presidential order read out on the national television on Thursday evening.
Speaking to the press the Political Activist Biar mentions that he missed his family for two years while behind bars.
The activist wishes to focus on his wellbeing before anything else.
The activist’s father Ajak Deng Biar expresses his gratitude to the president for setting his son free.
Biar was sentenced to 2 years for violating section 48/80, 2b of the panel code of 2008.
They were charged with possession of firearms and sabotage among others.
The inmates pardoned last week hail from Juba Central Prison, Wau, Tonj, Kwajok and Torit State prisons.
Biar spoke to the media on Saturday at his family house in Juba.
