Radio Easter, the Voice of Truth and Life, completes today 366 days on air.
The outgoing station manager Fr. Arike Joseph, who was appointed the rector for St: Augustine Minor Seminary, said Radio Easter was able to evangelize, educate and inform the population on current affairs and special civic education.He thanked the radio staff for their tireless efforts to carry their duties and urged them to continue with the same spirit despite some of the challenges they face, because they are serving the people.
Fr. Arike urged the incoming station manager Fr. Emmanuel Lodong to work with the staff because success comes through team work.
The station was put on air by the SCRN technicians together with the network director Sister Paola Moggi on January 21, 2010 and broadcasts from 7:00 AM to midday and from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Radio Easter reaches the counties of Lainya, Morobu, Kajokeiji and some parts of Oraba, in Uganda and neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo.
It uses English, Juba Arabic and Bari languages.
