The coming and birth of Christ will help citizens to overcome the challenges facing them, said Emmanuel Adil Anthony, Governor of Yei River State during the celebration of Christmas at Immanuel Cathedral on Wednesday.
He believes that through the name of Jesus Christ the Saviour, citizens will defeat the challenges, Radio Easter reports.
He thanked the Inter-Religious Churches in Yei for their commitment in praying for peace in the Country and the state in particular and guidance for people.
Adil challenged the Christians to commit themselves and respond quickly when the religious leaders call for prayers.
He urged for continued prayers for peace in Yei River State and South Sudan at large to realize permanent peace.
The governor says the difficulties disturbing the peace and the implementation of the agreement needs a collective responsibility.
Governor Adil was giving his message on Wednesday during the Christmas celebration at Immanuel Cathedral in Yei.
