Security is normal as citizens celebrate Christmas in the whole state, according to Police authorities in Torit.
Police spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel Mathew Ochan Jacob, confirmed to Radio Emmanuel, deployment of organized forces up to the county level.
‘We really deployed all forces in corners of the state although in the county and the security situation since the twenty-four hours all is normal, full security in the state. People are moving freely; the celebration continues until now people in the prayer some going to the market moving at night. Those who are drunk by night you know your house, the police will escort you up to your house you don’t know your house you come and sleep in the police station this morning we released almost fifteen people’, he explained.
According to police spokesperson, the patrolling team is made up of collection of forces from the state
‘We bring the military to control only the checkpoint and other areas which may be suspected by the government, but the police wildlife, the prison wardens they are within the community. They are controlling looking for any activity of crimes or any activity of violence they are moving around in search we control all areas, he noted.
Ochan advised citizens to protect themselves before they are protected by the deployed forces.
The Lieutenant Colonel disclosed that the combined forces patrolling team will end on the fifth of January 2020.
