The youth of Tonj started today a ten-day programme of events to prepare for the feast of don Bosco on January 31.
Fr .Cyril Odia, the youth director, told Don Bosco FM that this year’s celebration is longer and the programme was borne from annual meeting with the youths.
Albino Ater, who chairs the organizing committee, said the programme is a training and spiritual package that is tagged Salesian week.
Almost 160 youth participants are coming from different villages and speak various languages.
Mr. Ater added that a nongovernmental organization will teach the youths on HIV and Aids awareness.
The Salesian Week started today with boys and girls above 18 year of age that are camping in the Tonj mission compound.
