Islamic Council in Wau State on Tuesday acknowledged the step the state government took against the selling of school to be constructed as hotel.

Secretary-General for Islamic Council, Akol Akol Longer said they are thankful with state government for the bitterness they have made on school selling, Voice of Hope Radio reported.

He added that the school is not only for the benefit of Muslim children, but for all kids in Wau.

If there are plans for expanding the school, they should be in form of cafeteria, laboratory, library and hostel, not hotel, Longer mentioned.
