‘No need for curfew in Torit town’, says Police

Police in Torit State has confirmed there will be no curfew imposed during the festive season.
 
Speaking in Arabic, the state spokesperson Justin Kiliopus says there is no need for curfew in town because the whole state is peaceful, radio Emmanuel reports.
 
He stresses that the Police is working with other organized forces including Wild Life and Fire Brigade to combat petty crimes.
 
The spokesperson adds anyone found committing crime, will be arrested and detained until end of the festive season.
 
The police officer mentions that there have been cases of child abduction along Torit Juba road however the state police and Jubek government are working together to stop the incidence. 
 
The police spokesperson was speaking on Radio Emmanuel in Torit.
