The United Nations’ Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS urges cattle keepers in Kirik County in to be peaceful as they move to different communities.
According to Don Bosco radio, UNMISS team leader for civil affairs in Kuajok Joseph Rewongole advises pastoralists not to take laws into their hands in case of any disagreement.
He mentions their mandate is to protect lives and people should use their economic resources to promote peace.
Joseph expresses his gratitude to elders of Kirik County for accepting the Marial-Bai agreement.
The state peace adviser Lino Majok Achien says there is no need for loss of lives again this coming year.
The officials made the remarks during the peace talk at Kirik County in Tonj.
