Western Lakes State police spokesperson Elijah Mabor Makuac on Tuesday assures citizens of maximum security during Christmas celebrations.
He says security forces have been briefed on their roles to ensure citizens safety in Rumbek.
The police spokesperson explains there were reports at his office decrying lack of enough police to patrol the town.
The officer advises youths to distant themselves from criminal activities.
He points out that many young people are involved in alcohol consumption which leads to misbehaviours in the communities.
The spokesperson made the remark during exclusive interview with Good News Radio on Tuesday in Rumbek.
