Youth conference has started in Rumbek Catholic Diocese on Thursday evening at Holy Family Cathedral in Rumbek, Western Lakes State.
The four days’ congress under the theme: ‘I am the living bread that comes down from heaven’ aims at strengthening the faith of the youth to love Christ.
During the opening ceremony, Diocesan Coordinator Fr. John Mathiang Machol urges young people to take the theme of the conference to give light to each other as brothers and sisters.
Youth Chairperson Fr Peter Garang appeals to the youth to develop the spirit of love and brotherhood during the conference.
Western Lakes State Governor Mahmud Solomon Deer Agok says without youth, there will be no generation to assist the church and the country in future.
The Diocesan youth congress is an annual celebration organized in December.
