Western Lakes State Ministry of Health warns that stigma is very dangerous and it is the one killing many people than the virus.
Speaking to Good News Radio, Director of HIV/AIDS in Western Lakes State, Peter Gum Ater calls on people to come out of stigma to stay longer.
Gum urges community leaders to create awareness on the dangers of HIV and AIDS to the grassroots.
Meanwhile doctor Garang Kuoth cautions that HIV and AIDS have no cure, but can be prevented.
The speakers made the remarks on Wednesday during the celebration of World AIDS Day in Rumbek.
The event is annually commemorated on December 1st, but Western Lakes State celebrated the occasion on Wednesday December 4th.
